Ah, who ever said that Frequently Asked Questions actually needed to contain any Answers?
Definitely not the South African Department of Communications that’s for sure. They are clearly still working on that definition…
One thing that I would like answered (excuse the shameful pun):
Do you think they’re confused about what’s supposed to be in an FAQ or just don’t have the answers to those questions themselves?
Thanks Riaan

1 Ray H May 5th, 2007 at 12:24 pmAnd now for the Department of Communications Frequently Given Answers:
1. No comment
2. The minister is not available until next month
3. Why are you asking that question?
4. Yes, if you send us the questions in advance
2 Ian May 5th, 2007 at 1:05 pmPerhaps it’s because the site is best viewed with Internet Explorer 4 :)
I see they’ve responded to the missing answers with ‘Please note that some of the questions are still attended to, please be patient.’
There site update is also well underway with a comment that reads ‘In the second phase, the information will become live by December 2004…’
3 Ross May 6th, 2007 at 6:11 pmThe Department of Communication does not communicate very well. HAHA, someone had to say it! Seriously though it is disgusting and embarrasing. Perhaps we should come up with one simple, short question to send to the info e-mail provided, send it off and then put money on how long it will take for us to get a response. e.g. a week, 15 days, 2 months, a year, 3 years, NEVER! Will be interesting to see who takes the pot.
4 Gino Cosme May 7th, 2007 at 9:12 amThe department of comms together with the rest of Government’s web real estates is in desperate need of a makeover, in terms of design, usability, content…the list goes on.
