So here I was thinking it was going to be a slow Monday when, low and behold, Bullardgate turns it into a peach. I couldn’t believe my good fortune because I’ve been trying to get this sort of publicity for the Sunday Times the whole year and in the space of a morning we’ve had more hits to our web server than in an entire week, not to mention what this is going to do to our PageRank!!! David was also amazed at how quickly he had become an online celebrity, and I had to unfortunately confess that I had nothing to do with it.
My deepest thanks go out to the blogging community for taking the Bullard by the horns and helping me to open source some of the heavy workload I’m experiencing at the moment. So, I’ve decided to return the favour and share the link love with a few of those people that I am dearly indebted to (please let me know if I’ve left anyone out):

1 Nic May 7th, 2007 at 1:27 pmDude!! Anytime!! Thanks for the return of the love. I am glad, to be honest, that many people now know whe Mr Bullard is and I hope that these events have sparked them all to read his column. I love what he writes and how he writes it and am glad that he is uncompromising when it comes to his approach to his column.
I am also super duper happy that I helped to relieve your work load. Any thing else I can do, let me know!! :)
Have a good Monday.
Greek, out!!
2 Paul Jacobson May 7th, 2007 at 1:29 pmColin, if you really want to show the love then link to me from the Sunday Times site! Then there will be some real link love … ;)
3 Vincent Maher May 7th, 2007 at 2:00 pmLOL, its a total pleasure, I was also expecting a slow Monday
4 Champagne Heathen May 7th, 2007 at 2:24 pmYes, you’re missing my insightful yet oh-so-humble opinion on the issue! Well actually, rather I did mention him but as more of an aside.
It is amazing me that there was such a reaction to his column, & yet no reaction to an article about blogging that appeared in another Sunday paper. It was about Women Bloggers possibly being silenced by online intimidation, threats, and bullying. Surely that is a very relevant & worrying topic, more than David Bullard sarcastically saying we all want to get laid (we do, actually, we are normal people too).
[I'm starting to repeat myself between blogs comments.]
You also missed http://wildfrontier.wordpress......something/
And a good argument looks like it has started up there between Ray & Vincent.

Bullard on blogs – storm in a teacup?

6 Pierre May 7th, 2007 at 5:28 pmHey, thanks for linking to my post. It’s funny how an attack gets everyone going. But was it Oscar Wilde who said, there is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that is NOT being talked about.
7 TM Lutas May 7th, 2007 at 9:09 pmYou’ve hit instapundit over in the states which has pronounced Bullardgate “so 2002″.
Good luck on this business model. It’s been tried before. It tends to fail miserably as each iteration initiates a one way flow of customers away from your products, just a fraction of a % really on each iteration. But the effect is cumulative and ultimately makes the publisher very unhappy.
8 Nikkie May 20th, 2007 at 2:43 pmBullard looks like a punch face, you know.. one of those guys you just want to punch.. X5.. cuban cigars? Big wow…
